Greetings from the PRINCIPAL.....

Image for Greetings from the PRINCIPAL.....

I am Marshae Madison-Pelt, Instructional Leader at Midfield Elementary School. I am excited about my tenure as a principal in the Midfield City Schools. WE are EXPECTING GREAT things at Midfield Elementary School! I firmly believe in making sure that our Baby Patriots obtain GREATNESS through education. It is my goal to instill the belief that Failure is Not an Option in our students’ education.

Let me share a little information about myself. I completed my undergraduate studies at Stillman College (Go Tigers!!) and received my Masters from Troy State University (Trojans). I earned certification in Administration and Supervision from Alabama State University and an Educational Specialist (EdS) degree in Curriculum Administration and Management from Nova Southeastern University. I have also taken additional reading courses at Auburn University Montgomery. Additionally, I am National Board Certified in the area of Reading/Language Arts and recently, I completed the Certified Instructional Leader Program through CLAS.

I have a total of 20 years combined in education, thus working as a classroom teacher, reading coach, principal and central office administrator thus serving the boys and girls of Wilcox, Hale and Perry Counties respectively. I am truly excited about my position as Principal in Midfield City Schools.

I am an active member various organizations including Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Stillman College Alumni Association and Cornerstone Full Gospel Baptist Church.

I truly enjoy my role in education. I believe that educators should bring out the best in the students that they encounter. I believe that parents and teachers should play a positive role (daily) in students’ lives therefore ensuring that ALL students learn and become productive citizens. Therefore, I hereby encourage all parents and guardians to visit the school thus working as a TEAM to ensure that students reach their maximum potential for success. Parental involvement is the key to our “PATRIOTS” (students’) success. Remember, MES has a V.O.I.C.E...(Vision, Organization, Involvement, Commitment and E3-Encourage/Educate/Empower) and together, there is an understanding that the BEST is Here, and GREATER is Coming!

I look forward to welcoming parents and all students to Midfield Elementary School on August 8, 2018.
